An Ethnictronic World Trip: This paper proposes a surprising Bidaurreta musical journey to some of
the oldest cultural traditions of the world from a perspective of sound of XXI
century. Funk, acid jazz and Latin music, constant in all
Bidaurreta work, mixed with elements of Arab culture and Hindu-
flutes, Indian tablas, sitars, voices ...- and thanks to an incredible work
production become very attractive melodic songs (Shu-ai, Trip
Contrast pt.1) or fused with electronic beats and jazz piano creating
unusual contrasts (Radio Bazaar, Egyptian feet). The result is an album made
to taste and discover new things to each listener, but also for dancing.

Jimmy Bidaurreta is an eclectic pianist, composer and producer from Basque Country. Can be found at some variable point among Latin, World-Music, Soul-Funk, Jazz, Electronic or Traditional Basque Music. He is the conductor of the Gasteiz Big Band (as well a producer and arranger).
